Crafty Articles is based at Newby & Scalby Library. We give a warm welcome to anyone who would like to join us. We now meet every Wednesday afternoon from 2.30 until 4.00pm. The only time we stop is over the Christmas period. We provide free wool, needles and patterns and tuition if needed.
We are a very friendly and chatty group and find that our meetings are very much a social occasion. There is no charge, except for hot drinks. Tea, coffee, etc are £1 which goes towards the library’s funds.
We don’t only knit: any type of craft is acceptable. The items we make are for ourselves or for charity. We send items to the local Rainbow Centre which helps people in need and to a Refugee Appeal in London that sends our items overseas.
We are not just a knitting circle, we are a group of friends just waiting to meet you. Please come and join us.
We would be very grateful for any donations of wool that you could leave at the library to further our cause. Please help us to help others.
