North Yorkshire County Council have asked us to make customers aware of two scams, one by text and the other by phone, from criminals who are contacting people asking for money for the Covid vaccination. The vaccine is FREE and you can only receive it when your GP surgery gives you an appointment. If you receive a phone call offering the vaccine for a price, put the phone down.

When you are called for your free vaccine, please bring your NHS number with you to speed up the process. You can find this on prescription forms or any communication from the NHS.
