Drop-in Meetings for Ukrainian Visitors & Hosts

The library has started to host drop-in meetings on Mondays from 12 noon – 2pm for Ukrainian visitors, their hosts, potential sponsors and anyone who has information to share that might help them.  The first meeting, led by local lawyer and businessman Iain Butterworth, was held on 16 May and attended by 36 people, including representatives of North Yorkshire County Council, The Citizen’s Advice Bureau and Salvation Army.  Future meetings will be smaller, but all are welcome!  Iain runs a Facebook page entitled ‘Scarborough Sunflower Appeal – Help Ukraine, which has constantly updated information.
