Fun at the Community Fair in Scarborough Town Centre!

On Saturday 12 August 2017 the library had a stall in Scarborough Town Centre as part of the Rotary Cavaliers’ Community Fair.  We sold a great many second-hand books, CDs, DVDs, audio books and other items that the library had accumulated and took a fantastic £228.53.  Thanks so much to our wonderful volunteers Margaret, Roger, Jean, Janet, Val, Gill, Ray and Alison who helped and to our customers and the Crafty Articles group who donated our stock.  The rain came to spoil the party for a while but our doughty volunteers carried on and we sold more (acquiring 2 more tables from others who’d given up and gone home) when the sun came out again.
