Fun with Fossils on Yorkshire Day!

On 1st August, Yorkshire Day, around 20 children enjoyed an event led by Julia Davis of Scarborough Museums at the library. They each made a fossil sock animal which helped them understand how animals become fossils and some of them wrote a story imagining what it could have been like to have lived over 1,000 years ago and been a creature that has since become a fossil. Great fun was had by all, as the pictures below demonstrate!
