Local History Month

May is Local History Month and there will be a display about the history of Scalby Agricultural Show, 1885-1966 in our library. Did you know that at one time the show, held on land next to where our library now stands, was so big that it rivalled the Yorkshire Show for the number of entries and prize money? Do come along and find out its fascinating history.
