Rap School

There’s still places for the Rap School; an exciting interactive rap workshop in celebration of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge.
Led by world champion freestyle rapper Rob Bradley, this high energy session explores rhythm, rhyme, creativity and reading through the art of rap music. Participants will first watch a live freestyle rap performance where they can give random words and ideas to Rob and see them transformed into rhymes and stories in real time. They will then explore how rappers find rhymes, stay on beat and turn ideas into lyrics of their own.
Using inspiration from favourite books, characters and stories, participants will create and perform their own rap in a supportive and engaging environment. Whether they want to jump straight in or simply watch and take part gradually, everyone is welcome to get involved at their own pace.
