New Hot Drinks Machine!

We’re delighted to announce that thanks to the generosity of our great supporters Making a Difference Locally (MADL) and Proudfoots of Newby we have ordered a new hot drinks machine that will be up and running in March 2024.  Valerie Aston, Proudfoots’ Director, came to our 60th Birthday Celebration and we invited her to cut the cake to celebrate MADL’s very welcome donation of £1,000 and their great support for our library, going back to when we became a Community Library on 1 April 2017.   Our old machine has helped us to give a Warm Welcome to our customers since we opened but is nearing the end of its working life.  We are determined to keep the cost of 6 varieties of coffee, tea and hot chocolate to just £1 and a small pack of biscuits at 50p as part of our commitment to our customers and we look forward to continuing to work with MADL and Proudfoots for the benefit of our local community.
