Norman and Cathy go to the Palace!

As a result of receiving the King’s Award for Voluntary Service, two members of the library team were invited to Edinburgh to attend the summer garden party at Holyrood Palace, where King Charles, Queen Camilla and the Princess Royal were present. Two of the longest serving trustees, Isobel and Judy, were delighted to attend on our behalf. As you can see, they scrub up very well! They had a splendid time, and a few of us who accompanied them to Edinburgh including Norman and Kathy Bear in their finery also celebrated with a delicious afternoon tea at the Georgian tea room “The Dome”.  Thanks so much to volunteer Sue, who made Norman and Cathy’s special outfits!
