Norman Bear Club’s 100th Member!

The Norman Bear Club for pre-school children signed up its 100th member on 25 July.  This is fantastic news, since the club was only launched on 14 April!  Myles Abbey, aged two and a half, is the 100th member and he’s pictured with his big sister Rebecca and Norman Bear. Myles was presented with two books by Isobel Nixon, Chairman of the Library Trustees, and like all Norman’s friends he was able to choose his own special teddy, knitted with love by the members of our Crafty Articles group who meet in the Library every Wednesday afternoon.

In September we hope to launch a new programme of Story Times for the under 5s, delivered by our story telling team.  This will include songs/rhymes as well as a story, and we also hope to arrange a special 5 week arts & crafts course for pre-school children and parents.  Watch this space!
