On 1 July Norman and Cathy Bear, mascots of our Club for under 5s that meets during term time on Wednesday mornings, 10.15 – 10.45, for a story and songs, went to Holyrood House, the King’s home in Edinburgh! Because we received the King’s Award for Voluntary Service we received 2 tickets to a royal garden party at the palace, hosted by the King and Queen. Trustees Isobel and Judy went to the garden party and took the bears along for the ride. Norman and Cathy were made special outfits for the occasion by volunteer Sue, and we thought they all looked splendid!
